Woodland Oak
It was delivered it on a pallet with little shipping protection apart from a thin wrap of black plastic around the shipment. Some boxes and contents were damaged on the top layer but thinkassemble.co.uk replaced them quickly after reporting to them. Once it’s down it looks really good. Had some initial problems with fitting this before but thinkassemble.co.uk sent some replacements and I decided we will buy more and stick with it. We will now fit this throughout the house in all high traffic areas. The colour is quite neutral, neither light nor dark, and it should match most decors and furniture. Goes especially well with grey colours.

Poor quality, best avoided.
The medium oak looks nice once installed. Quite poor quality though and not easy to work with. Noticed several small white spots printed on various boards after fitting them. The tongue on the long edge is very thin/weak and will break off easily. On the short edge, the tongue can easily shear off when you push it in to the metal locking strip. Once you’ve closed a joint you need to get it right first time as it’s a once time only make up. If you have to open the joint to remove a board for whatever reason, lock strip will likely shear off the tongue and you’ll waste a board. Every time I laid down a new board to fit, I was always afraid the short edge tongue will shear off as it’s so delicate and only about 1mm depth of MDF. I called a thinkassemble.co.uk customer service person to complain about this product and ask how to resolve my shortage issue due to the the large amount of reject/ sheared off planks I had in my shipment. His response was vague, evasive, non specific, non committing, giving me no confidence at all. Buy 20% more quantity than planned as you’ll likely need it. Can’t believe thinkassemble.co.uk would sell such a poor quality product. The insulation foam on the base is too thin and very brittle and will fall off if you touch it too much The whole product is delicate and brittle. I would have been better off with simple/cheap tongue & groove flooring from a DIY store and laying down a nice thick insulation to compensate for imperfections in the floor. The only advantage of this stuff is that you don’t need to use a hammer or bar to knock it together as it has a highly engineered click locking joints, and in theory it should click together and lock in tight along both edges. If your floor is not 100% flat then you may have problems as the attached foam underlay is super thin and these locking joints may pop open after installation if your floor moves a bit. This is a highly engineered but poor quality product and really designed for perfectly flat floors

Unfortunately most of the laminate strips had scored marks as though they had been machined carelessly. This didn’t affect the fitting of them which i had to go ahead with as the room had been cleared for the job. But it has affected the overall look of the floor.

Best laminate flooring I have ever had!
I bought this flooring to lay in our new kitchen and lounge. Despite all of the other changes we have made, everyone who has visited (including joiners and builders) have commented on the quality and look of the floor. I am now going to lay it across all of my ground floor!

Looks good but loads of damaged planks.
When the laminate is down on the floor and job is complete it looks amazing and thats the reason we have not given it a lower score. HOWEVER. There was an unacceptable amount of damaged planks and we are not talking about ones damaged in transit these were defects in the laminate. Probably half the boxes had at least one faulty plank, some had more. The reoccurring defect was small chips on the edge of the planks, mainly in the same place too which was predominantly on the short edge, however some were in the middle of the long edge too. Some of the damage was very small and difficult to see….until the plank was laid next to an intact one, thats when the damage became clearly visible resulting in the plank needing lifted wasting loads of our time. The laminate is ultra thin too, a piece of paper is probably thicker, this said it does appear to be tough.
We managed to use some of the damaged planks as end planks starting a new line but ended up throwing out 20 damaged planks that were not usable. All in we are concerned re the apparent lack of quality control and how long these laminate planks will actually last before more of the laminate chips off. We are hoping we dont have to test the impressive warranty period and the manufacturers willingness to uphold the warranty promise.
We made thinkassemble.co.uk customer services aware of the quality issues who said they would ask the manufacturer to contact us, we are still waiting for that contact, but not sure if thinkassemble.co.uk have passed the info on or if the problem is with golden select.
In summary great looking laminate but lots of damaged planks in the boxes.

The product is excellent. However – I found that every pack had at least two faulty/scratched pieces of floor. Given I’d bought in bulk this wasn’t a problem, as I was able to return all of the faulty pieces as 4 full packs of faulty floor.

Fantastic Flooring
I haven’t had this installed yet, but have previously put this in our living room. Liked it so much this lot is replacing the flooring in the conservatory and kitchen. It is a lovely colour and very hard wearing. It’s been down in L/room for 3 years and still looks like new. Great price for great flooring which also has the added bonus of not having to buy separate underlay. Love it

This flooring is the best I’ve ever laid. It look beautiful too.
It’s thicker than what you find elsewhere so need to consider when buying.
I’m now thinking about replacing older flooring in my home with this. I’d definitely recommend.

Great finish strange policy
Very good product easy to lay great finish only issue is after ordering 40 packs I am 2 packs short however thinkassemble.co.uk will not waver on minimum order of 10 so I have to order 10 and return 8 where’s the logic
