I couldn’t be happier with this product. It’s been a part of every day for the last three months.Having gotten back into training and physical fitness, this watch has been brilliant. It really keeps me motivated and gives me some good insights into watch I’m doing.Garmin app works brilliantly and syncs data quickly. It also connects to other fitness apps I’m using so I can collate and see my data together. The watch itself is compact and easy to use. You really can’t go too far wrong if you’re looking for something to track steps, sleep, heart rate, calories and your exercise whether that be running, treadmill, swimming etc. I charge this once a week and set recordings for events lately at a minimum for 5 days for week. For me this was a good priced smart watch for the functions.I would’ve liked a resistance/weight training recording option but I choose other for this. For my first smart watch this has been a winner.I will definitely go for a higher ranged garmin product in a few years but for now this is a very good starting point. It’s brilliant. The only thing which I would say, is I’m not sure how accurate the sleep recording is. On a couple of occasions I’ve noticed that I’m asleep according the watch data, when in fact I have been awake.Overall, if you’re looking for a starter fitness watch or buying your first, I’d recommend this to you.

Perfect item, my son uses this all the time. Great battery life, great stats for swimming training

I was previously a fitbit user but I’ve been converted. The watch interface is better, the app is more expansive and detailed and there is not a paywall for certain key features, the GPS component is excellent, its battery life is HUGE in comparison (i only need to charge it once ever 2 weeks, if that!). The only things I can critisize at all are the sleep tracker. (In the evening, if I sit still, lay down or read a book for a few minutes it thinks I’ve fallen asleep and it’s terrible at recognising when I wake up in the night and the next morning. But, that can be manually amended so, not a deal breaker.) And the wrist band isnt that comfirtable in my opinion. I never had issues with my previous rubber watch stap, but the one supplied with my Garmin isnt the most comfortable (the holes going all the way around the band are the issue, a solid strap would be better). This is just a preference thing though and I’m sure I can find an alternative strap design that will be more comfortable for me.Overall, I’m converted. Why did I ever buy a Fitbit? I’ve been missing out on so much.

Bought a returned / secondhand Forerunner 55 for £112 from reseller FairTech. Would happily buy from the reseller, again.I’m not a runner, I only intended to use the watch as not much more than a smart pedometer, really. However, as the watch is so lightweight I’ve just kept it on, so now have access to all sorts of data – average resting HR, sleep analysis, VO2 Max etc. – on the Garmin Connect app.The onboard GPS also appears to be far more consistent than the Polar + Google Maps apps I’ve used to record my walks before, too.The watch itself has several watch faces onboard, more online, some free. The data + layout for each activity you want to use it for can be customised independently. The interface is very simple to use, if not necessarily intuitive at first, and you can do most of what you want to do within a few key presses.I haven’t got any more Garmin kit, but can see if I had the BP monitor, scales etc. it would all appear to be seamlessly integrated into the app. I guess that’s pretty much a given, these days, but here’s confirmation, for what it’s worth.

Great watch, delivered swiftly and looks great. Good battery life and loads of watch faces you can use. Love it. Linked to Strava and Connect so takes care of steps and GPS. Would recommend.

A nice watch that helps me track steps and distance when I go on my 5ks. It does tend to tell me to relax when I wear it to football matches, but it is a good reminder to breath hahaIt is a comfortable fit, connects easily to my phone, and is good value for money.

  8. Stephanie curtis

Love it easy to use and good battery life

  9. Dirk Wagner

    Excellent watch at good price
Easy to use and very budget friendly watch. I bought it to record tracks so I can see them on the map later. Now I am using it to reach my sleep, body battery, and stress levels. There are of course a lot of better options out there but far more expensive. I am very happy. One thing is that the strap could be a little bit longer.
