Invaluable if driving a motorhome or caravan to ensure the road is fit for the size of your vehicle. Great display and easy to programme in the motorhome sizes and set for journeys. Great product that you really should see as essential if driving a medium to large motorhome.

On reflection would have gone for the 10” but the cost was so so much more.So The 8”, good size the features, still getting used to them.Warns you ofspeed limit changes in advance, usefulWindHeight restrictions, not sure if it would tell you a height limit is TOO low for your vehicle, time will tell.Shows good free parking spotsPointed out a camp site en-route we didn’t know was there.Might have to update this after we have had it a bit longer

This is a good product in general. This navigation system needs a data usage (mobile phone) for the live features to function so please be aware. The points of interest option is limited and a little disappointing.

After purchasing this Camper satnav in September 2023 and whilst driving in France in October 2023, having carefully entered the vehicle width, length and height (3.1m), the satnav directed me into a narrow 2 lane underpass which has a height restriction of 2.2m – VERY UNSAFE. I stopped ahead of the signage, which was only on the underpass entrance. The road underpass was not a temporary structure nor did it appear recent in construction. Had I trusted the Garmin’s routing and lacked diligence a serious accident would have taken place causing potential injury to ourselves, to other road users, and would have destroyed our £25,000 camper. With errors as serious as this, embedded in either device firmware or the map database, this model Garmin product is not of merchantable quality and a danger to users who put their trust in it. Before making a complaint I used the product one more time recently, in December, and when given 2 UK postcodes, one in Leicestershire, one in Dorset, a ‘Cannot Compute Route’ fault arose. Upon re-try the device computed a travel distance of 81,000 miles, so this device is prone to serious faults as well as dangerous mapping errors. I’m seeking a full refund from thinkassemble.co.uk upon return of the device and will make an alternative purchase.

Things it gets wrong or lacks: There no directions suspend – sometimes you just want it to stop talking, but it doesn’t allow this (poor design). Getting it to acquire a satellite position can be really hard. On several occasions we had traveled nearly 10 miles in a van before it got position. If you want to program indoors before setting out on a trip don’t expect to get a satellite position. The menu system is just fiddly to use and lacks coherence. To be able to change the volume is not easy. Also why can’t it automatically adjust volume to vehicle speed or ambient background noise. For such an expensive item the lack of a protective case is just being cheap. The mounting bracket needs tightening excessively hard to prevent it wobbling. On the good side the display is very clear and uncluttered. The announcements are clear and mostly well timed, although having a verbosity setting would be useful. Conclusion – I can’t understand why my iPhone can get a better position than this dedicated satnav. If doing again I’d buy a cheap android tablet and use a satnav app. That way you get a better satnav and a tablet for less money

Poor sat navigation- Had to resort to Google maps for most trips in France & especially Spain. Fine for main routes but when closing in on location would try & send us down one way streets (wrong way), dead end roads or roads too narrow for dimensions (only displayed warning once)Doesn’t recognise a lot of Spanish addresses, had to search GPS coordinates instead .. which sometimes took us to wrong location also!I’m no tech expert, so doubted my ability to work the device properly, but somehow always managed to get accurate directions from Google maps!!On a positive.. good size & relatively easy to update, with good functionality options.

Un muy buen gps y un diseño muy bueno funciona perfectamente y lo mejor es que le puedes introducir las medidas de tu vehículo

Very 90’s feel, great for my parents.
Great device, basically an Android tablet that is now a navigation device for a camper. It’s loud enough, updates are via WiFi and the screen is certainly very big. There are many settings you can edit, like the length, width, height and weight of the camper. Many POI’s from NKC (Dutch), Garmin, ACSI, Michelin and Tripadvisor have been preloaded, which is great. And you can pair it with your smartphone for live traffic and to send addresses to your navigation. The holders are fine, easy to customize for use on your windshield, dashboard or with third party accessories. The charger is magnetic (very strong) and the cables are all included.I don’t love the interface and the slow graphics. And don’t bother trying to touch a POI icon on the map, it will pin a waypoint but it won’t tell you anything about that place. Basically, it does not work as intelligently as Apple or Google Maps. So one star deduction for that.PS: It is unclear to me if the device actually navigates you correctly according to your dimensions. Some routes were clearly not very amusing. Used with a Chausson Ford 747GA. Which is certainly bigger than regular <3500kg campers.I noticed the navigation steered me to streets and crossings that were simply to narrow for comfort. I know some Garmin devices ignore dimensions if your weight is sub 3,5 tons. I hope that is not still the case here.
