For the money it’s marvellous, but for some reason I can’t charge it from the three pin plug, have to use a computer to charge it, but that’s no problem.

This was my second “wearable GPS golf product”. The first was a very similar style from another manuafacturer that was designed as a “clip on”. It was awful… I retuned it through thinkassemble.co.uk’s process and looked for another option.Good old thinkassemble.co.uk had this watch at an incredible price and after hours of watching (no pun intended) YouTube reviews I pulled the trigger and bought it.It was fairly straightforward to pair with the phone and download the Garmin Golf App (no subscriptions required) and be ready for the course. I went to a local 9 hole course and asked the shop pro if I could walk the first but not play the course. He was more than happy for me to do that as it was a quiet weekday. It worked perfectly. One thing to remember is that although the watch is designed to show hazards etc, it doesn’t do that on par threes. So it’s not that it’s not working, it’s just intended to give ALL the course information on par 4 & 5s.So week or so after purchase I finally got the watch out on the course. Wonderful! I can’t say that it made me a better golfer, perhaps a more “aware” golfer. It was easy to use and recorded my putts which I think personally is an aspect where I can improve. The short game as well will benefit from knowing that you are exactly 100 yards out, rather than looking around for course markers that may or may not exist.Very very highly recommended.

I was taking my time to buy a range finder watch, looking at reviews, watching videos, reading articles and couldnt make my mind up.Having done all the research i could i finally bought the s12. First thing you will notice is how light it is and you dont even realise you are wearing a watch so it does not affect your swing at all.The battery life is astounding, ive had the watch for 2/3 weeks now and used it for 6 rounds of golf, i havent even charged it once and it still has around 1/2 life left.The buttons take a minute or two to get used to but once you know which does what its idiot proof.Quickly adding your score at the end of each hole. The range finder itself is spot on for distance, so much so in fact i am tempted to buy the club adapters to start compiling more data.If you are like me as hesitating about buying this, id recommend just doing it.It makes the world of difference to a novice high handicapper like myself.
