Made installing my dash cam extremely easy. Has some different modes which can turn the camera off after 10 minutes to avoid draining the car battery.

This way of powering front and rear Garmin cams is a bit of a secret, as I only stumbled across it by chance, rather than research. However it is a fantastic option – simple and discreet, while keeping messy cables from ruining the look of my tidy centre console (by avoiding using the cigar lighter at all). Fitting was very easy.I originally had resigned myself to using a Halfords fitting service to hardwire the cams to the fuse box, but that also meant when changing cars would need paying to remove or leave wires behind. But this little box plugs into a port under the steering wheel designed for interfacing with a diagnostic computer. The device gives the choice to keep powering the cams for 10mins, 24 hours or always, once the car is switched off. I leave it on 10 mins so never worry about it draining the battery, which apparently will never happen anyway as there is a sensor that stops the cams using power if the battery voltage falls below a set safe level. Thoroughly recommend for a tidy install.

I dislike the excessive price!!Not justifiable for what it is but it’s the only one recommended for my Garmin Mini 2 dash cam.Easy to plug into the OBD Port to provide the power you need when you switch on the ignition.Has 2 USB ports so you can charge or plug another device into it.Comes with a decent amount of power cable and a small double sided sticky pad that allows you to fix the body of the unit to a suitable place out of the way for a tidy out of the way install. You can also set it so it turns off with the ignition or remain on for 10 minutes in parking mode or 24 hours ( assume this is constant ) in parking mode, the instructions state that if set to 24 hours it will monitor your cars battery voltage and switch itself off of if the voltage discharges to a level that would mean the car wouldn’t startAs I said it could be a lot cheaper and is, in my opinion very over priced for what it is but it does the job it’s designed to do.

Take the faff out of a hardwired set up. This is super quick to install and even gives you a 2nd USB port for charging.Has the option for 2 hr, 4 hr or continuous power for parking mode.Great product, wish I had found it sooner.

Bit expensive but works well. With 2 USB outlets it powers my dash cam and powers my phone while acting as my Navigator. Limited power so don’t expect to fast charge a big smart phone but it will keep it topped up while its displaying your route.I was initially a bit concerned that equipment was staying on, but after careful checking once I remove keys from ignition and lock the car, it goes 10 mins before powering off.I managed to neatly hide the wires so overall I saved money vs a garage installing this.

Investing in a dash cam is a wise decision for any vehicle owner. However, the installation process can sometimes be a hassle, especially when it comes to hardwiring the device. I actually delayed purchasing a dash cam, as I was unsure how to properly wire it – I din’t want to use the cigarettes lighter socket, as I didn’t want any cables obstructing the interior of my car.It is an incredibly useful piece of kit designed to allow for easy hardwiring of up to two USB devices- for example, you can connect 2 dash cams, front and rear. One of the main advantages is its convenience. There’s no need to worry about fuse taps or finding suitable fuses to tap, making the installation process faster and hassle-free. While the price is higher compared to a traditional fuse tap solution, the convenience it offers makes it well worth the investment.

The idea is great. For a car with constant power in the lighter socket, this should be a great power-saving solution.I use it in my Skoda Octavia MKII to connect Alexa and phone holder/charger, and I prefer the 10 mins off timer setting. With the opportunity to hide most of the cabling, this device, though overpriced, looked attractive. The only problem is that it does NOT switch off the power after 10 minutes.I don’t see any difference made by the switch position. It just keeps the power on, which could have been achieved with a significantly simpler and cheaper connector.Pity.

    Genialne
Do jedneg USB mam podłączona kamerę, do drugieg GPS tracker.

    Do the great job.
It is easy to install and hide nearby the port. Work well and so far no problem at all. Garmin is always reliable.
