A great oil for ‘healthy’ frying
Now that many oils have been criticised for their unhealthy performance at high temperatures it was great to find one that is recommended by medical researchers. Sunflower oil is now banned from my store cupboard as it produces high levels of very unhealthy aldehydes when heated to normal frying temperatures.
Extra virgin olive oil is too expensive for frying and it does not have the high temperature performance as this mild and light olive oil.
It’s good to find it in 5L bottles rather than the tiny 500mL bottles in many supermarkets. Good value, especially for those who want a neutral tasting oil as against a strong flavour.

Classic instead of mild & light.
I’ve given 5* for this product as it suits my taste buds, have used for many years, unfortunately I ordered online for delivery recently and was sent the Classic instead of the advertised. I decided to keep it and it’s yellow and slightly darker, the taste is somewhat different to Mild & Light so will use it but I wouldn’t order again in case the same happens.
