Gallon cap doesn’t open
The olive oil itself is fine. The actual gallon that contains it isn’t. I couldn’t open the top off so I had to create holes on two opposite sides so I empty the oil into bottles I can store and use on a day to day basis. That was a bummer. (And still is since it’s a big gallon)

I have used extra virgin olive oil for cooking since the mid 1980s and mostly Filippo Berio over the last two or three decades.
The Filippo Berio product is superb.
I know that we’re not supposed to use extra virgin olive oil for frying, but I do and it’s very, very good – just keep the temperature down!

Consistently good value and quality
This oil is consistently good value and quality over the years I have been using it. It is suitable for serving as a dip, making marinade or vinaigrette, and as a cooking ingredient. I use it for gentle frying of mince at low temperatures for which it is perfect. It stores well at room temperature for up to a year.

I still have nearly nearly 3/4s of it, unused. When using it, there’s sharp & awkward smell that’s so overpowering permeating within the kitchen & spreading everywhere. I’m planning on throwing it away, as I’m not planning on using it. Not recommended
