My only minor gripe is that very determined chewers might still get through it faster than expected if left unsupervised. Still, as a bonding and exercise toy, it’s a tail-wagging win.

Great if you use it for what it’s meant for.
It is meant for tugging. If you leave it out for your dog to chew on then of course it is going to get ripped apart. I think some people giving it 1 star have never owned a dog before. Dogs can destroy most things if you let them. It is comfortable to hold and my dog likes playing with it. It lasts a few months but it gets used almost every day. Eventually when it starts to break apart, the cracks pinch my dog’s mouth. It’s probably the best tugging toy I have found at a reasonable price. So I would give it a 4.5.
