Solid build quality and great toast
Having just spent lots of money previously on a Kitcheniad toaster I was pretty fed up when it died after 2 years. I expect better considering it was not cheap. Therefore the purchase of the Dualit was made on a few points. Built like a battelship, functionality and the repairability. Its also just natural and functional in a surprising way. The toast raiser/lower is just such a logical idea so you can check on the progress without switching the machine off and starting again!. 1/2/4 slice selection – again.. logical. The main point – Brilliant toast. Crunchy and nicely toasted but still soft in the middle. Not dry and brittle. Should have bought one years ago

Rather disappointing.
I was expecting more from this toaster for the name and the price. It is adequate but that is about it and I don’t like it nearly as much as my old Tefal toaster which had wider and deeper slots and toasted the bread much more evenly when it was new.

Best toaster ever!
At last a toaster that works! So simple to use, just turn the dial & off you go, if you have a bit of bread poking above the top that needs toasting – easy just pick it up and turn it upside down pop it back in all before the time is up! If you need to check what’s going on – easy just lift the middle button up and up pops your toast if it needs a bit longer drop the button back down. Best of all it’s hand made in the UK

Dualit 4 slice Classic Toaster
So far, so good, I’ve only had it a couple of weeks. It seems well constructed and I love the fact that all the parts are repairable or replaceable. It does the job well and I also like that you can select to toast either 1,2 or 4 slices of bread. I’m looking forward to a long ownership period.

Excellent toaster, cool engineering
These toasters are brilliant, our previous model lasted 20 years, yes large initial outlay, but great value for money over that time, looks great and the ticking sound of the timer takes me back to my childhood. British made too which is a bonus.

So far so good, was in 2 minds to purchase due to price. Hopefully it should outlast the usual mid-price range that seem to last about 2 years. appears to be good quality, time will tell.

Some cheap plastic on a good quality product
Not perfect, there’s some cheap/flimsy plastic on the timer and slot selector,undertray, also sliding all over the place you could think it’s on ice, not a fan of the screws holding the top plate either.

Nice and toasty
It toasts things the old school way. It has three options which allow the user to use it on full four slices, two slices or one slice.
It cooks well.
It’s very simple to use.
I wouldn’t go back to a modern toaster
I recommend this one as it comes with a handy cage for small items that may get stuck such as pancakes and tea cakes.
