Does not have metal bowl as stated in Description
We ordered this because the specification mentioned the inner bowl was metal, meaning you can sear the meat on your hob in the same bowl. When the item arrived the inner bowl was ceramic so we were very disappointed. I raised this with online chat to try and arrange return but the chat agent “Chris” was very unhelpful and would not accept that it should have had a metal bowl.

Replacement for an older version
I bought this to replace an older version which died on me after several years of sterling work. I looked at some alternative brands but compared to the Crockpot, these had thin aluminium cooking pots, not the thick ceramic that I was used to. Compared to my older version this is slightly smaller with a more streamlined inner pot and lid. The old version had a rubber seal on the lid which meant it couldn’t go in the dishwasher, so I like that this has now changed. The other main difference is that the new version provides programming for different food types and it is possible to programme in when you want the food ready by and the machine just gets on with it. I have used it once so far, to cook a beef and leek stew using the programming settings, and the result is excellent. This was on offer for about £50 which is brilliant value.

Description said it had a metal inner bowl that could be used on the stove top. It is a ceramic bowl which cannot be used on the stove. I wouldn’t have bought it if the description had been accuarte. Back to using pans to brown and add flovour before putting in the slow cooker. What a complete waste of money and time.
