Definitely good cheese
I wasn’t expecting this cheese to be as flaky and tasteful as it turned out to be, considering it is a mature cheddar it’s very mild for flavour, one thing that took me by surprise was the crystallization in the cheese, I didn’t know that was a selling point of the cheese, initially I thought I had cracked a tooth, but it’s a nice addition once you’ve gotten used to it.
One downside is this cheese doesn’t melt well, so what I had planned to use it for went out the window, but aside from that it was a pleasant surprise for a first time purchase, and something I plan to purchase again in the future.

The main reason I have paid for Online delivery is so that I can have a constant supply of THE most delicious mature cheddar I’ve ever eaten (and I’m 53 so have tried a few cheeses in my time). It has the perfect crumbly texture and the best mature bite I have ever tasted. It is also very consistent and always tastes great!! Love it 🙂

This is a delicious, mature cheddar cheese. It has a slight tang to it and goes with anything you’d eat cheese with. It’s especially good melted in a variety of ways. It is a slightly crumbly cheese, which isn’t always ideal for a cheese and cracker plate, but overall a great mature cheddar!

A lovely tangy kick!
A great punchy cheese. Ideal for cooking or sandwiches. I grate up the whole thing. Put some in a large Tupperware in the fridge and the rest in bags in the freezer which is taken out when needed for cooking. I love it.

Cheese has changed
We have bought this cheese for years, previously direct from farm. This batch and the one before is completely different. The texture of the cheese used to have a crunch, now the cheese is very creamy and not as good.

Bought the cheese on line, never done this before, a bit apprehensive. The chess is in 1kg blocks and it is very good. Not too salty, good degree of firmness and a nice crumbly texture. Just what you want.
