Great gammon
The gammon arrived on time, really well packaged. Communication re delivery was good. My only complaint was that the box was left on the doorstep in full view. It could easily have been stolen. The cool pack kept it cold until I was ready to cook it. I would usually boil a gammon before roasting it but this was so big I did not have a large enough pan. I roasted it in foil and then removed the foil to glaze it. We ate it hot on Christmas Eve, and then cold over Christmas. The meat was flavoursome and delicious and not at all salty. The bone made fabulous stock. The leftovers have frozen well. I will purchase again.

Beautiful ham – enormous joint
I wish I had paid attention to the actual size it was and noted that it was on the bone – I ordered in too much of a hurry. However, despite having to roast it for 7 hours, it was worth it. The quality of the ham was amazing (and I still have some in the freezer). I did have to cut it off the bone and then place all the packed meat in the fridge – the bone was huge and very heavy. Would definitely order ham from Bearfields again – just not quite so big 🙂

Top quality delicious gammon
Delicious Gammon Joint. We catered for 10 at Christmas and everybody commented on how delicious the ham was at dinner. We had so much left over which is great, lots in the freezer to enjoy at a later date!
I cooked it for 7 hrs, simmering on the stove (which required an enormous pot! Be prepared, this won’t fit in any standard house pans!) and then basted it and roasted for 30 minutes to glaze it. I will definitely be buying it again next year.

Juicy and oh so tasty
This is the first time I have bought a ham from , and so glad that I did. I spent Christmas with family and took this ham as a present. Therefore, I didn’t cook it, but oh boy did it taste good. I will definitely buy again. It would be remiss of me not to recommend this gammon to you as it was so delicious and also very good value

Gammon joint
I was very sceptical when it said it fed 15-30 people but when it arrived it was huge. I had to buy a hacksaw to cut in tin half and a large 32 litre pot just to fit half.
Saying that, once cooked the gammon was beautiful and I had lots of positive comments. Would I buy it again? Maybe a smaller version but def from same company .

Absolutely delicious
Delivered on the day requested, the joint was huge and such value for money. I left it soaking in coca-cola overnight and got up at 5:45 on Christmas morning to pop it in the oven, to make sure it was fully cooked ready for the big meal. An hour prior to it finishing cooking, I basted it with maple syrup. It was delicious and there was more than enough to feed all the guest and have some left over for cold sandwiches and another 5 meals. I would definitely purchase this again and totally recommend it.

Tasty leg of ham
I bought this product for the first time last Christmas. It was excellent quality and value for money so much so that I have bought it again this year and although it is waiting in my freezer to be cooked and eaten over the Christmas period I know I will not be disappointed and neither will you. It is a large piece of meat so you will need a very large pan if you intend to cook it on the hob before you glaze it in the oven but do not let this put you off. A great tasty leg of ham.

Huge and delicious
Delicious ham on the bone. Didnt quite take in consideration the huge size of it . As i like to poach it first rather than cook it straight in the oven, i ve had to chop on in 3 as didnt have a big enough saucepan . Once cooked and glazed , it was the best ham we had definitely will get it again next year

This gammon is fantastic. I bought it last Christmas and it was the highlight of our festive food, so I was delighted to see it back in again this Christmas. It is tender and delicious and the sliced and frozen leftovers were enjoyed all year long.

THE CHRISTMAS HAM
Huge ham joint that needed 6 hours boiling but was worth every minute. It arrived on the date agreed and was packed well. It fed the whole family several times over the holiday period and some is still in the freezer. It was also extremely good value.

Fantastic treat for the Christmas feast.
This is the third year we have purchased a Bearfield’s Gammon and we have never been disappointed. Be advised it is very large and coming in at 10 kilo you will need a very large pot to cook it in. It is so tasty and well worth all the effort.

Yummy and delicious
It was slot bigger than I thought but I was able to cut it up into 3 sections froze 2 portions and cooked the rest it would have been better if there was no bone in it
But when cooked it was amazing the taste was excellent couldn’t fault it

Stupendous
Bought this online for Christmas. It arrived when they said it would and the packaging was brilliant, keeping it very cold. The gammon looked amazing and it tasted beautiful. I did soak it overnight only because that’s what I always do.

Great product but delivery was a day too late.
This is an excellent product, however it was delivered a day late, and too late to cook for our occasion. We had to rush out and buy something else. I have ordered this product a few times before and the delivery has been spot on.

DELICIOUS GAMMON HAM
This gammon is absolutely delicious. When cooked perfectly by my husband it is amazingly good. The best we have ever had. This joint was much bigger than we imagined and so we cut it in two. We will definitely be buying again.

Delicious, huge amount of meat
Poached then roasted with lots of spices. The meat was delicious and tender. Would buy again if I was feeding a large crowd. But a bit too big for us, so ended up freezing sometime enjoy another time.
