A well-made and robust product
I bought this to supplement a 200w solar panel set which I already had. I use the panels to recharge an Anker Solix C1000 power station.
The 100w panels are easier to position than the 200w ones, as they are lighter and half the size. This makes it easier to get the most out of the sun as it moves across the sky.
When both the 100w and 200w panels are connected together, the C1000 reports a charge well in excess of 220w under more or less ideal conditions, and in the evening it is easy for me to position my new 100w panels to catch the last rays of the sun.
The 100w panels themselves are robust, and fold up neatly for storage and transport. There are snap fasteners which can be used for extra security when transporting, but I found the magnetic handles held the unit together well enough when carrying it. They are supplied with long extension cables and 2 types of connectors for charging power stations. Fold-out prop stands at the back are adjustable so that the panels can be set at their best angle. The instruction leaflet provided directs you to the Anker website for the online user manual, which is very brief. It told me nothing I did not already know.
I must make it clear that, even under ideal conditions, you cannot expect to get the full 100w from these panels in the UK, but anyone who has used solar panels before will know this. I’m ecstatic if it goes over 90w! Under cloudy conditions, it is usually 15-25w.
