Best small headphones I have ever had – noise cancellation is amazing and sound quality surprisingly good for such a small headphones. Worth buying. I have it now for several years and use it in noisy places like planes and in the gym battery holds really long even far away from source . They fit well in the ears and don’t come out easily and are also very light so you don’t fill them when they are in. ( I even used them as pure noise cancelling during long flights to reduce noise level – it worked perfectly) I really like this product .

I’ve finally found the perfect balance of comfort, sound quality, and unparalleled noise cancellation with the Bose QuietComfort Ultra earbuds. Five stars simply don’t do these justice—they are truly in a league of their own.Design & Comfort: Forget You’re Wearing ThemBose absolutely nailed the design and fit. These earbuds are incredibly light and extremely comfortable, even during long listening sessions. I can wear them for hours without any ear fatigue, which is a massive win. They also look good—sleek, modern, and high-quality, exactly what you expect from Bose.“The Gold Standard of Noise Cancelling”The primary reason to buy these is the excellent noise cancelling, and it delivers. It’s the best I’ve ever experienced in an earbud format. They create a pocket of absolute silence that completely melts away the sounds of a busy commute, a noisy office, or a flight. It’s truly transformative.Acoustic Brilliance and Versatile ModesThe listening experience is nothing short of amazing. The audio sounds amazing—rich, detailed, and perfectly balanced, making every song feel like a private concert. What really sets the QC Ultra apart is the incredible versatility of its modes, transitioning seamlessly from “Aware” to “Immersion.” The Aware mode lets you stay connected to your surroundings without taking the earbuds out, while the Immersion mode combines that legendary noise cancellation with spatialized audio, creating a soundstage that makes you feel utterly enveloped in your music. If you’re looking for premium earbuds that offer unmatched comfort and industry-leading performance, look no further. The Bose QuietComfort Ultra is the only choice.

I bought these after my Sony earbuds failed just outside the warranty period, they had a lot to live up to after experiencing the superb Sony noise cancellation features, although I found the Sony earbuds were too easy to fall out. The Bose buds fit perfectly with the extra rubber tab ‘locking’ them into the ear.The Bose buds have a great richness to the sound which in my opinion is superior to the Sony buds but there’s a few issues that could possibly be rectified through firmware updates. One issue that can’t be sorted by an update is the design of the buds when sitting in the charging case – I have large fat fingers and find it difficult to get the buds out of the case, it’s almost impossible when wearing gloves and I often find I’m dropping them when trying to get them out.Another annoyance with the case is that there appears to be no way to know what the current battery level is, even in the app. The only way I know if the case is fully discharged is when the buds fail to recharge, the Sony buds gives the battery percentage in the associated app.I wear these buds most days while walking outside and through the long wet winter we have just experienced found them unusable when wearing them with the hood up on my waterproof coat – the reason being that they constantly stop or start everytime the hood touched the earbuds, a quick option to temporarily cease the touch controls on the app would solve this. Finally and the biggest annoyance I experience with these buds is the poor recognition of the touch function on the buds and lack of any feedback when tapping the earbuds. There is no audible feedback (like on the Sony buds) meaning one has no idea if a tap has been registered and it seems that the tap is not recorded more often than it is. So I end up multiple tapping to try to stop or start the playback as nothing happens, only to find that the phone has lost signal or isn’t responding due to another reason. I also end up skipping tracks with multiple taps when trying to just pause or restart a track – a simple beep to acknowledge the tap has been registered would make so much difference. The Bose noise cancellation works reasonably well but the ‘aware’ setting still doesn’t let enough external sound through in my experience, with the Sony buds I could pause the sound and hold a reasonable conversation with someone stood next to me, with the Bose I still need to remove them to be able to hear the person fully. In summary the quality of the sound is great (I listen more to speech radio than music), but the usability of the Bose earbuds let’s them down enough that without improvement I wouldn’t buy them again. These might seem like minor usability issues but if I were to replace these buds tomorrow then I would buy Sony, not Bose.Update, July 2024 – I’ve downgraded my review to a one star as despite the quality of the sound these buds deliver, it’s of no use of they can’t be controlled. The ‘tap’ to pause/restart is an absolute joke, you never know why the audio hasn’t stopped or restarted as there’s no audible confirmation of the gesture – so you end up having to get the phone out of your pocket. Even worse you then tap again thinking the gesture hasn’t been recognised and end up skipping forward a track.I’m now seriously considering binning these buds die to their unusability and purchasing a different brand. Such a shame as I’ve been a long term Bose user – no longer. NOT RECOMMENDED!

Bose Noise cancelling earbuds
Excellent noise cancelling earbuds. It come s with different sizes of earpiece to make sure you can find one that is working/comfortable for you. I used to have a different brand earbuds but it kept falling out while I was doing my morning walk. Bose earbuds stayed there the whole way. Sound is great too.

Ele abafa 99% do barulho externo. É muito INTELIGENTE. Estou AMANDO!

Great but not perfect; still worth keeping.
My review is based on reviewing several other earbuds for one specific purpose: Running a marathon. This was the main reason I wanted to dive into wireless headphones in the first place. So after using these Bose Ultras over span of a month and comparing them to what’s on the market I think I’m ready to give my verdict.TL;DR: These are the best earbuds compared to what’s out there at this price point – get them on sale and you wont be disappointed. Overall, the XM5’s are the only real competition to these. Nothing from Beats or Sound core will come close to these Ultras.Review: I got these on sale when the Sony XM5’s were on sale as well so they were the same price. I also grabbed Sound core X20’s, Beats Powerbeats Pro 2, Studio buds+ and Fit pro’s. All of these were geared towards working out while providing ANC. After spending a week with these earbuds I was able to judge these Ultras performance against a solid baseline.-Battery Life: 6/10 (these drain quickly giving about 4 hours of active listening time before requiring a recharge EQ settings: Bass +10/ Treble +5 however the case can fully charge these earbuds 3-4 times before needing a charge itself.-Sound quality: 9.5/10 The immersion mode on these blows everything out of the water including Xm5’s. These sound incredible.-Ear Fitment: 9/10 These earbuds come with TWO fitment parts – An earbud and Rubber Band that goes around the earbud; this allows for 6 different fitment setups across both earbuds. (Bands: X1,X2,X3 and S,M,L) x2. This feature itself is the trump card for these earbuds as a near perfect fitment affects sound quality as well and of course as a runner you don’t want these to fall out of your ears and get damaged. Although before your run it doesn’t hurt to use a bit of saliva to give you that extra adhesion (sorry but this worked and I was scared to let these drop on the pavement. The resulting run was the best I’ve had in a very long time.ANC: 8.75/10 (the XM5’s are the best at ANC because they are dead silent while these have a slight static sound when not playing any music. So just know that if you will use these to fall asleep that there will be some static to deal with. Get the Sony’s if you want the best ANC; but you will also not get an Immersion modeSoftware and controls: 8.75/10 The gestures and intuitiveness of the controls along with the iOS app make this the most easy to use earbuds of the bunch. The XM5’s have a poorly designed iOS app that leaves much to be desired. the swipe to inc./dec. volumes works SO MUCH better than the XM5’s which is based on the number of taps. the gesture area on the Xm5’s is a curve versus the Ultras which is flat and easier to use. The Bose app has zero bloatware whereas the Sony Sound connect app often gives pop-ups and ads for Think Assemble music for example. Like come on Sony I didn’t pay hundred of dollars to see ads.
