Motorola walkie talkies have been around and been used by the military for years. I’m not going to try to see if these ones are indestructible, but they are rain proof and are surviving a real world farm/smallholding environment.No frills is the name of the game here. No digital display and minimum configuration is possible. You can configure everything via their free software, but (!) you need a special cable, which costs £60-ish.We bought 2 of these, so we don’t spend hours looking for one another. The sound is clear and so far, thick stone walls haven’t stopped the signal. We’ve not been further apart than several hundred meters, but again, all good.I wish they were a little lighter in weight, but at the end of the day we put them back on the charger cradles and they’re ready the next day.They’re not the cheapest, but they’re doing their job without gimmicks.

Completed the set with Motorola Handheld Microphone/Speaker.Very wide channel selection and easy to setup, product manual comes with includes all the proper explanations to use your device at its max.REMEMBER! This is not a licensed radio! Its two way radio you can use with no license.For anyone not familiar with the radios, this and all brands will work together without issues if they transmit to same frequency/channel. This unit bought as my personal radio, we have some smaller handheld Motorola’s, some Cobra’s and some Chinese two way radios on site. They all work fine together. You just have to set the same frequency/channel.Recommended!

Sehr gute Geräte, gute Reichweite, sehr klare Verständigung und kann auch sehr gut laut gestellt werden.Einfache Bedienung. 16 Kanäle, mit Scanfunktion und Codiertöne CTTS-Töne an-u.abschaltbar, auf 00 stellbar, so dass alle PMR Geräte, egal welcher Hersteller auf dem gleichen Kanal und mit ausgeschalteten CTTCS-Tönen miteinander kommunizieren können. Rest müsste programmiert werden mit optional zu bestellendem Kabel und Software zum Download. Ist aber für den normalen Betrieb nicht notwendig.Von der Haptik, Robustheit, Reichweite, Sprachqualität, Empfindlichkeit(LCD Display und Softtasten fehlen), sowie vom Preis her, besser als als XT460 oder XT660d.Oft wird das Gehäuse als aus Metall hergestellt beschrieben. Es ist aber sehr hochwertiges und festes Plastik.Lieferung, Verpackung, Geräte, alles Bestens. 2 Stück gekauft.
