I now have 3 of the 8 socket units installed under my electronics work bench. They are well built, easy to install flush using the mounting rails, and I most like that they have a central rocker switch and 13A trip fuse button – these were a must for my installation.They are supplied with a decent length of quality cable (3m), and I’m very happy with the overall product.

This is a nice metal extension with ample sockets. Very well made (as expected) and feel comfortable using it under my desk for PC and other items (all well within max loading, just too many plugs). Note it’s quite bulky so definitely not what you’d call slimline. But I was not keen on the miriad of cheap no-name alternatives (with potentially unverified credentials). Only complaint I have is with the wall mounting – it only works from one direction and no way to swap it over. It slide in from the left (to right).

Seems like a robust item. Nice construction and a good length of lead. Light on switch nicely subdued, not like the eye piercing led’s on some other extension leads.

This is a serious bit of hardware. Comes as a solid block made from aluminium. Really should be used in a workshop or garage and includes a mounting bracket for fixing to walls or work benches. Not your normal white plastic interior multi plug!

It’s very solid and looks excellent quality – however it does not include surge protection, which I would have thought is a standard inclusion for most extension sockets (I’m not sure why you wouldn’t want this as a feature?).Unfortunately I relied on the answers given by thinkassemble.co.uk’s ‘Rufus’ AI which said it did include this, but it turned out to be incorrect. The switched fuse is probably more useful for power hungry tools in a workshop, rather than the office use I was after.The quest for an inline 8-way surge protected extension socket continues… Brennenstuhl’s Hugo would have been perfect for this but its recently been discontinued.4 stars as it really is solid, and probably is great for users who want this in a workshop.
