Buttons are easy to use (ordered similar elsewhere and all the buttons were too stiff for a young toddler to manage). You only need to apply light pressure and my almost 2 year old can easily do all the controls. I like that it has 4 different tasks to get the animals to pop open.It’s a bit bigger than I expected. Cute design

Bought this toy for my 1 year old grandson. It’s sturdy and he’s occupied for ages trying the different ways to get the pop ups. Thought it could have been a bit cheaper.

Well made toy, with the three more complex actions ( slider, rocker and twist button) all triggering the pop-up lid when operated in either direction, meaning a “reset to go back to starting point” action not necessary. This keeps the toddlers attention better as a result, with a shorter time to “get the reward” for the action.

Huge apologies, everyone. I sent an earlier review IN ERROR (shown at very bottom). Turns out I was reviewing the wrong thing! … Actually, I LIKE THIS TOY A LOT! It’s great and the colors ARE as pictured. It’s inviting-looking and I can tell that it’ll be a useful learning toy and will be great fun for the newly minted 1 yr old to whom I’m giving it. Apologies again for messing up the prior review — HERE’s the WRONG REVIEW so that you can now IGNORE IT — The colors, shape and size of this toy is nothing like what was pictured, which was quite annoying to discover. Why is this the case? Who knows! But it’s disappointing because I didn’t open it right away, so I’ve just discovered this, with barely a day remaining to return! Argh.
