Had to be modified to secure the roof.
Had to make modifications to secure the roof. In the wind the cross members flex, lift up and allow the roof panels come out. The solution I adopted was to drill the cross members and insert self tapping screws, this stops the cross members from flexing. The brackets supplied to support the roof need to be the same contour as the roof panel. They are not and have to be bent. Because the side members are horizontal and collect water I decided to make extra drainage holes either side of the joint because water was coming out through the joint. In general the structure is sound but I am disappointed that I had to make modifications to make the roof secure

Not a car port – A great Gazebo
I needed a good sized gazebo for the back patio, and saw this and thought “Why Not”, it’s the perfect size and the price was excellent.
It does say it needs 2 men and 4 hours to build, the men need to be a bit more fit and healthy than a 65 year old disabled old codger like myself, however with my brother helping it really was surprising how easy it was to build, and how sturdy once finished.
I did ignore the part of building reinforced footings, I think the weight is enough to hold it in place, but time will tell.
Overall I have to say I really am pleased with the whole unit, and should also mention how helpful Palram were when thier carrier found it too difficult to deliver, so they got it sorted.

Great Carport
This is a great product. I had every intention of putting it up myself (with my son) but the guys who put the concrete pads down to anchor it to asked if I wanted them to do it. Struggling for time I agreed. The two guys put the whole thing up in 7 hours. They said it was straight forward and that they were impressed with the quality of the structure. It stood strong through the recent 70+ MPH winds and protected my car from 6 days of constant, torrential rain. I have had several passers by knock and ask where I got it from as they admired it and were considering something similar, it does look very good, as well as being functional!

PALRAM VITORIA 5000 CAR PORT
With the excellent and clear instructions our installation was ready for use within two days.
One very useful tip is to keep the the fixing components (bolts,washers,nutsetc.) in their original packaging. Also check when using the bolts that they are the correct length.
When attaching the legs extra assistance; a couple of people, is a great help.
Be aware that the screws holding the roof panels are not tightened, until both sides panels in place.
The final tighten of the nuts/bolts should be at the end of assembly.
If you want to use the Gutter heads I attached a plastic pipe and fed it into a drainage gulley.

Brilliant product; great service
I bought this 3 weeks ago. On line ordering was simple and the goods turned up very quickly on the agreed date. Assembly was simple (only the plastic cover strip to the eaves beam was difficult to fit) everything else went like a dream. Easily installed by 2 persons in less than a day. The car port has been doing its job for a couple of weeks and several visitors have asked for details which I have gladly passed on.

The roof fixing is inadequate. The roof blew off in a moderate wind and I subsequently drilled and bolted the the roof cover caps through the roof ribs to secure in place. Palram need to sort out this serious problem. General service and delivery good.

Palram Vitoria Carport
Arrived on schedule. However 2 roof panels were damaged when we unpacked the box preventing us from finishing the build. Disappointing as we ordered it to cover our hot tub area for guests arriving at the weekend. Unfortunately our plans to have it all completed has failed. I’ve contacted thinkassemble.co.uk customer services so we’re hoping for a quick resolution! The frame itself looks sturdy and is perfect for what we wanted.

I bought one of these, at the time it was around £400 less than anyone else that was selling it.
I have to say that I consider this excellent value for the money. I recently assembled it & found that all fittings lined up with any holes perfectly & they even supply more bolts/nuts/screws than you actually need so you can’t run short of them. It appears to be made of quality materiels & is very attractively designed so I am very pleased with the finished product so firmly Recommend this to any other potential buyers.

Well designed, good looking
After much searching for suitable carport given dimensions of drive, this is perfect,.
The number of preformed aluminium/ polycarbonate components, value for money.Easy to put together, following supplied comprehensive instructions.
Only problem being the delivery 2 man team manhandled the very heavy boxed unit without trolley. Having opened box looked like it had been dropped with displaced and minor damage, not worth sending back.

The car port was excellent value – no other suppliers could come near to the price of thinkassemble.co.uk. Easy to assemble about 8 hours work. Carport had slight damage and came in one package extremely heavy! Took 4 people to lift it to assembly area but looks good and is good quality the only thing I would change would be to have at least one roof panel to be plain to allow more light.

Sturdy, only 3 panels came out in Storm Eowyn. 2 managed to stay in my yard, no idea where the 3rd one went. Pretty good going for an exposed location and first red warning storm.

Well made and easy to errect with a little assistance, mine is also used to enable me to do odd jobs outside and means i don’t have to worry about things getting wet if it rains, also handy for sitting under.
The hardest part was to slide the plastic trims along the side to cover the screws and nuts. Very pleased with the design and look.
