Great purchase.
Brilliant! It saves effort, removing the cover is now a one person job.
It tucks neatly behind the tub too.
A word of caution to DIYers: on reflection, it is really easy to install but you have to get your measurements right.
Make sure that you have room each side to access with a screwdriver.
Most importantly, make sure that the cover will clear the edge of the tub when pivoted.

Bought this to go with Trident spa/hot tub. Fitted on delivery. Really smart finishes tub off perfectly, makes it so easy to use i can lift the whole lid myself with one hand. And because it stands up at the back it gives extra privacy and shelter from the wind. Cant recommend any higher. Brilliant accessory

Making your hot tub pleasure easier!
We originally purchased the hot tub without the cover lifter. However, this was a recommended purchase when the hot tub was delivered and installed. Oh my goodness what a difference it makes. It was a 2 person job to fit the cover properly- after watching a goof old you tube video. Now I can use the hot tub without needing someone else to lift the lid with me. The cover looks stylish and fits in with the modern colour of the hot tub.

The lifter is of poor quality. The paint finish is flaky and makes it difficult to insert poles together as the poor paint job allows the paint into the inside of the poles making it difficult to put together. The screw caps/covers have mostly come out and fall off of their own volition. I am a pretty good DIYer however The instructions are completely useless and if it weren’t for a helpful chap on YouTube there’s no way I’d have managed it. A very poor quality product. I’m surprised and disappointed that thinkassemble.co.uk would associate with such a product.

This is our first try with a hot tub hence not wanting to pay anymore but it was definitely worth it! The product is fab, the company who make the hot tubs have excellent customer service as we experienced a slight problem with it and they assisted from start to finish. Fitting instructions need better dimensions
The fitting instructions are very poor, the picture above is more descriptive!
If your spa has vertical side panel jointing strips, you need to cut and modify them in order to fit the brackets.
Other than that I am very happy with the lifter.

Hot tub lid lifter
This lifter does not fit every hot tub thinkassemble.co.uk sells without some modification to the beading that holds the wooden side panels in place on the tub (superior spa make). Once fitted this lifter makes removing the cover a doddle and is half the price of equivalent models available.

Hot tub cover lifter
The instructions aren’t terribly clear but there are videos on YouTube. In hindsight i would assemble it before hand then make sure it is in position for the middle of the lid then drill the holes in the sides of the hot tub as the specified measurements are a little off.

Excellent piece of kit, makes lifting the lid a doddle and could not imagine how cumbersome it would be to have to manually lift the very heavy lid – a necessity with any hot tub. Service second to none.

Essential bit of kit. Don’t understand why people would not automatically get this with a hot tub. Lids are really expensive so this is a necessity in my opinion!

Don’t buy this if you have built-in speakers
I dare say it’s fine on most hot tubs, but on mine (Blue Whale) its fixing location interferes with the small Bluetooth speakers, so I can’t use it.
