Mixed bag
I’m giving this tap 4 stars because it’s quality built with quality materials. The ceramic disk gives excellent, smooth operation. And it’s a good price for something that performs well (mostly) and looks high-end in the kitchen. So I’m happy with it.
However, there are design flaws to be aware of. First, this is not a ‘pull-down’ detachable hose as it says in the description. It is is pull-up-out-and-over hose. This means you can’t switch between the fixed position and the hand held position without either (a) making a splashy mess when you switch or (b) turning the water off, lifting the hose out of its holster, and then restarting the flow. It’s just a little annoying, but not a deal-breaker.
The other thing to be aware of is the problem with hot water flow if you are on a gravity/open-vented system in your home. If you have used two taps to deliver hot and cold water before, you probably had no problem getting a nice full flow on both. But installing a mixer tap like this means you will be sacrificing some of the power of the flow, especially on the hot water. It’s a big difference on the hot side for me. I’ve had at least a 50% reduction in the hot water flow now that I have this mixer tap. I suppose more modern plumbing systems won’t cause this problem, but if you have the old style, prepare to lose water pressure.
Finally, the horizontal distance (between where the water comes out and the main pillar) is 220mm, and it seems narrow to me. The spout on my previous Bristan tap was longer, so the water flowed closer to the middle of the sink compared to this one. I have to be careful not to knock dishes against the sides of the sink while washing up.
All in all, I’m happy with the tap, but if I had paid the high-street price rather than the thinkassemble.co.uk price, I’d be very unhappy indeed.

Awesome value for money
This mixer tap is what I’ve been looking for for a long time. At this price you can’t go wrong. The build is high quality and it looks great in the kitchen.
My only criticism is that the flexi tails it comes with are far too short (40cm long), so chances are you will have to buy some new ones to make the water connections.

Low pressure even on mains pressure (Combi boiler) as others have stated. Dripping from the handle after 2 weeks of being fitted by a professional engineer. Let’s see how it goes. Don’t fancy paying to have it removed, and another one fitted.
