Good little worker
We bought this to replace a cheaper model from another brand which just wasn’t quite picking up enough dog hair. The X40 is much more powerful and allows us to go much longer between getting the vacuum out. I love the customisable programs in the app and how granular you can get with the cleaning plan. The mop function is good. It’s a bit annoying having to sit and listening to it buzz while it dries the mop pads for four hours but that’s minor. I was lucky to buy it when there was a discount on but having used it for a couple of weeks, I would be happy to pay full price and not feel ripped off.

Easy to set up
I’ve been using this robot mop downstairs where we have a mix of hardwood flooring and area rugs, plus a medium-sized dog that sheds a fair bit. Overall, it’s been a great help with daily maintenance. It navigates around the rugs without soaking them and does a decent job picking up light pet hair and dirt from the floors. While it’s not a deep cleaner, it definitely keeps things looking tidy between more thorough cleanings. Bonus: it’s quiet enough that the dog isn’t bothered by it.

Would recommend for pet owners with mixed flooring!

Great robot and spotless floor
Have been using this robot every day for about a month (everyday vacuum and twice a week mopping), and can confirm that it’s a great machine.

It’s got a high suction power (I always use the max setting as my dog sheds a lot, but the standard suction also worked well when I tried it), and it’s very good at avoiding obstacles, including cables. My previous robot (which was much cheaper) was always getting tangled in cables and ramming into things. Because the Dreame robot is better at avoiding obstacles, it keeps about 5 cm or so away from them, so doesn’t hoover right up to them. This isn’t a problem for me as I can always pick up any fluff manually if needed.

The mopping is also great and it doesn’t go on rugs at all. I have a rug in the living room and the robot doesn’t go over it at all when mopping. For the runner in the corridor, it lifts the mopping pads so it doesn’t get wet. It also seems to use very little cleaning solution, however the floors are squeaky clean. The mopping pads are rinsed and dried by the robot’s “house” so they stay clean and don’t smell (I have sniffed them lol). I set the drying time to be 4hrs for peace of mind, but I think the standard 3hrs could be enough.

This was one of the beat purchases I made in recent times. So happy I upgraded from my previous robot! I have recommended it to all my acquaintances and my mum has purchased one for herself too after seeing mine in action.

Not worth the price.
Not fully satisfied with the purchase. It doesn’t clean properly and sometime gets confused. It finds hard to go to home sometime and keeps wandering here and there. For the premium price I paid for this product I would expect much more accuracy and better cleaning. Very disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend this product. For half the price you can get similar functionality and same or even better performance.

I love her!
I’m really pleased with this robot after swithering for several years about buying one. She vacuums and mops well and the app is fairly easy to use, with lots of different options for different cleaning regimens. I doubt that I would have justified buying her at the full price but the thinkassemble.co.uk discount was excellent.

The best in the class
It hover , mops and it does everything thing as advertised. The extendable brush and mop allows to clean in corners and around furnitures. We very pleased with it. 10 out of 10

Does a decent job but to pricy
I am fairly happy with the performance even though I think it’s too expensive for what it does!
